We always tell people how much we adore the small, intimate destination weddings some people plan. There’s always something so special and personal when a couple chooses to share their special day with a small group of family and friends. Courtney and Brody departed from Arkansas to get married on the beautiful beaches of Florida’s Emerald Coast!

We loved all the personal details, including Courtney’s gorgeous bouquet, borrowed jewelry and mementos, and creative pieces found on Etsy. One of my favorite parts was doing some ring shots on top of Brody’s fireman’s coat and helmet.

While Gwen and the ladies hung out, getting hair and makeup done, I met up with Brody for his getting ready photos at another house. When I arrived, I managed to catch him helping change baby Collin. The room had such gorgeous light and what was supposed to be getting ready photos quickly turned into a mini-baby photo session. Collin is an adorable little guy and it was so fun seeing proud daddy Brody help get Collin ready for the wedding.

Courtney made for a gorgeous bride and you could see how captivated Brody was when she walked down the stairs and aisle towards him. After a quick but beautiful ceremony, we took some family photos on the beach before getting Courtney and Brody alone to let them enjoy being newlyweds in front of a setting sun. They have such a natural chemistry and the fading sunlight made for the perfect backdrop.

Our time with Courtney and Brody was all too short and we sincerely hope to meet up with them again on their next trip to Florida, but in the meantime, we feel so blessed and honored that they picked us to help capture such a meaningful day in their lives!

We hope that the photos bring back memories of a very beautiful and touching wedding ceremony!

But I have to say that we’ve saved the best for last! Part II includes the reception shots, including an amazing performance by a fire dancer! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!?! Plus we have the very stylish wedding party and shots of Lisa & Omar! All of the shots of Lisa & Omar alone are actually from their “Day After” session. Sexy sexy! I tell ya, they are one gorgeous couple!

I love looking at these photos and remembering how much fun everyone had during this incredible wedding at Moon Dance Cliffs! I still laugh when I think about how a photo with Omar and a couple friends turned into EVERYONE from the dance floor jumping in for a group shot! What an incredible group, and we’re so glad we were there to share the day with you! Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for letting us be part of it!

Every couple tries to incorporate elements into their wedding that have special meaning and moments that tie their families together. For Lisa and Omar, it all started with having a destination wedding in Jamaica, which is where Omar’s family is from. They chose to host their wedding at Moon Dance Cliffs in Negril – a charming, intimate resort with rocky cliffs overlooking the ocean. Lisa and Omar’s family and friends got to know each other better during a welcome reception, catamaran cruise, and a rehearsal dinner before the big day. The rehearsal dinner was especially touching, as each guest was given an opportunity to share their stories and words of support for the happy couple!

Lisa and Omar got ready in private villas overlooking the ocean. The girls spent hours getting hair and makeup done, taking a break to have lunch and mimosas. At one point, Lisa was sitting in the living room on the couch with her grandmother, listening to her sing. It was such a sweet moment!

Meanwhile, the guys were at their villa getting ready and playing pooll! Omar had a smooth Cubavera linen suit and white fedora. Lisa and Omar have a great sense of style, and on their wedding day they both made jaws drop when they walked down the aisle!

The ceremony began with a steel drum band playing as the family and wedding party made their approach to a beautiful gazebo overlooking the water. They personalized their ceremony with a sand ceremony as Lisa’s sister, Patricia, sang “From This Moment On.” They ended the ceremony with butterfly release, which was sentimental and humorous at the same time. Some of the butterflies didn’t quite want to leave the newlyweds!
